Kiambu Governor, Ferdinand Waititu has vowed to deal with illicit brew and drug abuse in his county.
President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2016 started a major crackdown on pombe haramu in Kenya’s Central region a move saw young men reform.
Speaking in Ndumberi stadium, Waititu said young men in the region have failed due to consumption of the likes of Chang’aa which leaves them lazy and irresponsible.
”I will fight this battle of illicit brew and drug abuse to the end to make sure that joto ya vijana wetu imerudi.”

Earlier on in the year, Kiambu women had threatened to move to more productive regions should their men continue to perform poorly in the bedroom.
The women held demonstrations claiming that only a few of them were getting pregnant because the men had failed to perform their conjugal duties.
Waititu also promised to improve the county’s agriculture and industrialization sectors.
