Babu OwinoNewly elected member of Parliament for Embakasi East, Paul Ongili or popularly known as Babu Owino has been re-arrested on allegations of incitement to violence.

There has apparently been teargas lobbed outside the Milimani Courts where the legislator was appearing for his bail hearing.

Ongili was moments ago released on a cash bail of Sh. 500,000 after pleading not guilty to three counts of subversion, incitement to violence and offensive conduct.

The legislator was also required to pay two sureties of Sh. 1 million each.

Babu’s supporters camped outside the Law Courts on Wednesday morning demanding for his release.

Some of them tried breaking him out before his bail/bond hearing.
