Pamela Akinyi, the lady who violently attacked the nurse at Kenyatta National Hospital KNH) says that she acted out of anger as the nurse was rude to her after the loss of her son.
Ms. Akinyi said that she asked the nurse to be briefed on the death of her son but the nurse rudely said that hey had dealt with the deceased brother. Her attempt to probe more from the nurse was met by a walk away.
The mother of two said that her deceased son had told her that the nurses were harassing her and therefore she was annoyed to receive the treatment first hand.
“My late son earlier told me the nurses were harassing him. He even wanted to be transferred to another hospital but the doctors refused.” she told The Star
She denied claims that she strangled and hit the nurse with a blunt object stating that it was not possible.

She was released from Kilimani police station as the injured nurse was yet to make a statement
