It seems that the Microsoft software system was not successful in tapping into the smartphone user market.

This comes in light of recent revelation that Microsoft Co-Founder, Bill Gates has opted to switch from Windows to an Android phone.

During his interview with Fox News, Gates shocked many when he admitted to switching to an Android Phone.

“I happen to use all Windows based PC’s. The phone that i have, recently I did switch to an Android phone with a lot of Microsoft Software,” Gates said.

Gates also spoke about his relationship with the late Steve Jobs who is the founder of Apple and Pixar.

“The relationship I had with Steve had every aspect you could imagine. Particularly within the last few years our friendship had greatly strengthened.”

He went on to commend Steve on his contribution to the IT industry and expressed his gratitude over Microsoft’s involvement in the whole process.

When asked if he would use an I-phone the Microsoft Co-founder was responded, “No, no iPhone!”

His recent switch to Android could be an indication of a future Android-Microsoft partnership and many are eager to see what the company(s) will come up with next.
