Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore has told politicians to leave the company staff out of their political wars. This comes hot in the heels after NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga accused six Safaricom staff of being directly involved in the rigging of elections.

‘Those who want to accuse must engage me because I am the leader of the team. Don’t accuse my innocent members of staff. I reiterate these comments are unfair and unjust…let them fight their political agenda instead of dragging us into their woes.’ Bob Collymore  told journalists.

He also said that the NASA leader was treading a wrong path by dragging corporate institutions into political wars .

He maintained that the mobile service providers will still continue to participate in the elections process as the IEBC can not transmit results without them.

Bob Collymore also said that the political stalemate was causing them to loose billions of shillings and that even the IEBC was yet to pay them. He expressed his anger saying that being dragged into the political drama was immature yet they were helping the Electoral Commission in good faith.

The Safaricom CEO had earlier refuted claims that the mobile service provider had failed to transmit results from the KIEMs kits to the IEBC servers as was laid down in the procedures.
