    Bungoma Governor accused of hiring goons to Evict County PSC Board from Office

    Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati is being accused of hiring goons, who forcefully evicted the Bungoma County Public Service Board members from their offices yesterday.

    The goons locked CPSB offices despite a Kisumu Court order giving the members the timeline to stay in office up to February 2018 when the case will be heard.

    Last week, the Bungoma County Assembly on unanimously dismissed the County Public Service Board for alleged gross misconduct following a petition by a Mr Moses Lukoe.

    CPSB Chairman Peter Sirai says they continue receiving death threats on their mobile phones, an issue he says he has reported to the police.

    Residents have accused Mr Wangamati, who is currently in Kwale for an induction, of giving Ford Kenya goons room to intimidate county employees.
