
Buruburu girls school has allegedly suspended two girls for allegedly being in possession of a traditional skin care product. The school claimed that the powdered substance was bhang which they mixed in their food.
According to the parents, the two form 3 girls were suspended and told to seek counseling before being readmitted back into the school.
A report from doctor Dr. Pius Kigamwa of Oasis Health Speciality Hospital, where the girls went for counseling indicated that the the girls did not show any signs of being pathological drug users.

The school has however declined to readmit the girls stating that standard procedures for readmission had to be followed . They said that the board of the school needed to meet so as to asses the medical reports before allowing the girls back in school.
The parents of the girls said that their children were being subjected to mental torture as they were being punished for something they had not done. They also said that the students were missing classes as they waited for the school board to meet.
