A Burundian is fighting for his life in a hospital in Mwiki area, Kasarani, Nairobi, after he was attacked and stabbed in a robbery incident.
Police said the victim was attacked by two men who were armed with knives.
He resisted a robbery on April 27 morning prompting one of the suspects to stab him in the chest and back.
The attackers robbed him of his mobile phone, and Sh2,000 he had.
The attackers escaped soon after the incident. The victim was rushed to hospital, where he is fighting for his life.
Police said they are investigating the incident and no arrest has been made so far.
The police want robbery victims to always cooperate with their attackers for their safety.
In Bangale, Tana River, police shot and seriously wounded a man who tried to attack them while armed with a panga.
The man had earlier on threatened locals saying he would slash them.
This prompted police to rush to the scene where on seeing the officers he charged at one of them prompting him to open fire using his rifle.
He was seriously wounded in the belly and later rushed to Garissa Level Five Hospital for treatment.
Police said they are investigating the motive of the man.
In Nzambani, Kitui County, a man was found dead outside his house after murder.
The body of Charles Musyoka, 68 was found lying outside his house long after the murder.
Blood was oozing from his mouth, ear and nose at the time of the discovery, police said.
No physical injury was noted at the scene and the body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy, police said.
Meanwhile, three cases of suicide were separately reported on April 27.
The incidents were reported in Moiben, Uasin Gishu County, Nairobi’s Kasarani area and Mbitini, Kitui County.
All the victims were men, police said, adding the bodies are lying in mortuaries pending autopsy and other investigations.
