Chandarana Foodplus has come out to apologize for the racist email the sent out by their marketing Director.

The Marketing Director, Rima Patel wrote an email saying that they are focused on attracting white people to their supermarkets hence the reason why they wanted to host a raffle challenge.

This email caused an uproar online as users called the supermarket out for discriminating against their black clientele.

The company was also recently called out for discriminating against their workers by reportedly hiring unqualified foreigners for top management jobs and leaving the other jobs to Africans.

African employees are stereotyped as thieves and are not trusted with management responsibilities despite their qualifications.

In their email, the company mentions that their Marketing Director is not good with English and that may have contributed to her discriminatory connotations in the email.

“Her lack of proficiency in the English language is an easy way to justify this horrendous error.” reads the email in part.

The accusations have caused an uproar online especially with the unprofessionalism of the top management.

This is what some people had to say:

If you are a professional business, how would you employ such unprofessional persons to such positions? I find it personally an excuse and a true reflection of the views your company holds on ' blacks n whites'

'Her lack of proficiency in English'? These are the people @FredMatiangi and @ImmigrationDept need to deport ASAP. How was she even interviewed for the job if she is not proficient in our official language?
