The stay orders that were issued by Justice Mwita have been reverted. Chief Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi said that the orders needed to be clear

An issue of technicality had arisen where the case number that was on the stay order was different from the case that was before the chief magistrate.

Lawyers for the DCJ Philomena Mwilu led by senior counsel James Orengo had asked the court to allow the stay order stating that the technicality was a s a result of human error.

Chief magistrate Mugambi however said that the stay orders were not clear and therefore the case was still within the jurisdiction of his court. He asked DCJ Mwilu’s lawyers to go back to the High and file and amended application.

The case was adjourned to Friday 31 August.
