    ‘Choose Where To Litigate Your Cases, In Court Or Social Media,’ CJ Maraga Tells Ahmednassir

    CJ Maraga today cautioned lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi against his conduct on social media. The vocal lawyer who more often than not airs his opinions against the judiciary on twitter was cautioned and  was told to decide where he wanted to practice his litigation.

    The chief justice gave Abdullahi an option to either choose to litigate his cases in court or on social media.

    CJ Maraga expressed his agitation towards the lawyers post during the hearing of an application to quash a decision aimed at holding two Iranian nationals who have been freed by the Court of Appeal and are still being held by the Immigration Department.

    The senior counsel was forced to apologize to the highest court over his social media rants on the judiciary.
