Citizen TV crew has been robbed in the ongoing 6th devolution conference in Kirinyaga County.
The crew was covering the one-week devolution conference which kicked off on Monday.
According to the station’s reporter Steven Letoo, the robbers got away with Mac-book laptops, PXW Camera and Citizen TV branded microphones.
The Royal Media Services owned station is also said to have lost bags, money, cables and hard-drives during the incident.
According to Letoo, some of the items lost belong to the sister station Inooro TV.
In a photo posted by the reporter on Twitter, the robbers broke into one of the station’s vehicle through the window.

The Devolution Conference which brings over 6000 delegates is aimed at engaging Kenyans to reflect on the devolution milestones over the last five years and chart a way forward on how to make devolution successful.
According to the information on the Council of Governor’s website, the conference will focus on key areas including Trade and Manufacturing, Agriculture, Affordable Housing, Health, Water and Sanitation.
Guest speakers expected to present during the conference include President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto, ODM leader Raila Odinga, Chairman Council of Governors Wycliffe Oparanya, Speaker of the Senate Kenya Kenneth Lusaka, Vice-Chairperson Council of Governors Kenya Mwangi Wa Iria and the host governor Anne Waiguru.
All the 47 county governors are also among the dignitaries expect to attend the one-week conference which ends on Friday 8.
