Chief Justice and President of the Supreme Court Martha Koome has announced new appointments to the Auctioneers Licensing Board.
In a gazette notice dated November 7, 2025, Justice Koome appointed Njeri Thuku as the new chairperson of the board. Festus Terer has been appointed as the board’s secretary, while Harrison Barasa has been named a member.
At the same time, the Chief Justice revoked the appointments of Felix Kombo, Antony Mwicigi and Stella Atambo.
The new team officially takes office today, November 10, 2025.
The Auctioneers Licensing Board is responsible for issuing licenses to auctioneers, regulating their work, enforcing professional standards, and taking disciplinary action where necessary. The board also handles complaints, conducts inspections, and ensures auctioneers follow the law.
