Connor’s three older brothers, Bryce, Mark, and Keeran, all pursued athletics in different sports, creating a highly competitive and active household.

Bryce played college baseball at Valley City State University in North Dakota.

Mark competed in football as a two-time All-Canadian safety for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.

    Keeran excelled as a golfer.

Growing up as the youngest in this athletic family, Ingram initially resisted becoming a goaltender but took on the position as the “littlest” brother in their rambunctious group.

    Career

Ingram’s career began in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Kamloops Blazers, where he developed into a standout prospect.

He posted strong numbers in junior hockey, earning WHL West Second All-Star Team honors in both the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.

Selected 88th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the third round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, he turned professional in 2017 and spent time in the American Hockey League (AHL) with affiliates of the Lightning and later the Nashville Predators after a trade in 2019.

Ingram made his NHL debut with the Predators in 2021-22 but saw limited action.

He signed with the Arizona Coyotes organization, where he emerged as a primary goaltender.

In the 2022-23 season, he recorded his first NHL shutout with a remarkable 47-save performance against the Lightning, setting a rookie record for saves in a first-career shutout.

The 2023-24 campaign marked his breakout, with 23 wins, a .907 save percentage, and a league-high tie in shutouts (6).

He was traded to the Utah Hockey Club (formerly Coyotes) and then to the Edmonton Oilers in October 2025 for future considerations.

After starting the 2025-26 season in the AHL with the Bakersfield Condors, he earned a recall and by March 2026 had secured the role as the Oilers’ starting goaltender, posting solid numbers including multiple shutouts and helping stabilize the position during the team’s playoff push.

He has also represented Canada internationally, earning a silver medal at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship.

In terms of accolades, Connor Ingram has earned recognition for both his on-ice performance and his off-ice resilience.

He was named to the WHL West Second All-Star Team twice during his junior career and to the AHL Second All-Star Team in 2020.

His most notable honor came in 2024 when he won the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, awarded for perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey, in recognition of his public battle with obsessive-compulsive disorder and his journey back to consistent NHL play.

In the 2025-26 season with the Oilers, he received the team’s nomination for the Masterton Trophy once again, highlighting his continued dedication.

Ingram has also collected junior-level honors, including top goaltender awards and a Telus Cup championship earlier in his minor hockey days.
