Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s personal assistant Michael Oyamo will remain in custody until October 8, court has ruled.

Appearing before Judge Jessie Lessit, Oyamo denied having killed Sharon Otieno whose body was recovered in Kodera Forest.

The prosecution wants the court to deny him bail as his “his character and conduct confirms he cannot be trusted”.

This was after it was established that he (Oyamo) made a false report at Uriri police station stating that he had been kidnapped.

The deceased was kidnapped after what was supposed to be a meeting with the military man and Nation journalist Barrack Oduor.

Still in remand is the governor whose bail hearing is set for Thursday.
