Sports CS Rashid Echesa has been summoned by the police over rivalry with Senator Cleophas Malala that has culminated to leaked nudes of the former.
Echesa and his driver have been summoned to record a statement at KICC Police Station on Friday at 10am.
“KICC police station have a reason to believe you Hon Rashid Echesa have information that may assist in investigation of alleged offence of Cyber Crime Act of 2018 ,” reads the summon.
His driver Fredrick was the one used as an intermediary to send money to the three journalists who were earlier arrested.

The journalists, David Ndolo, Stafford Ondego and Alex Njue have admitted to being employed by CS Rashid Echesa. Reports indicate that they will be Senator Malala’s witnesses.
CS Echesa and Senator Malala’s war took a different turn after the verbal insults turned to blackmail with falsified nude photos.
Senator Malala has also been accused of trying to lure CS Echesa to help him to corruptly procure the nomination of Nairobi deputy governor position.
In an audio heard by Kahawa Tungu, Cleophas is heard trying to convince Echesa to vouch for his friend.
Echesa has been warned to cooperate with the investigations or risk being prosecuted.
“Failure to comply with above requisition will render you to prosecution,” warned the summoning statement.
The three journalists involved will be presented in court on Friday morning.
