Daniella Orion Perkins, also known as Daniella Taylor, is an American actress, social media influencer, and content creator born on June 13, 2000, in Anaheim, California.

Raised in Orange County by her single mother, who was just 17 at the time of her birth, Daniella grew up in a close-knit family environment that encouraged creativity from a young age.

Her father, of African American descent, was not actively involved in her upbringing, leaving her mother to raise her and her sibling.

Of mixed Caucasian and African American heritage, Daniella was homeschooled to balance her early pursuits in entertainment, allowing her to nurture her passions without the constraints of a traditional school schedule.

    Siblings

Daniella has a younger sister, Devenity Perkins, born on August 13, 2003, who is three years her junior.

The sisters were raised together by their single mother in Fullerton and Orange County, California, fostering a dynamic sibling relationship marked by playful antics, shared dreams, and mutual support.

As children, Daniella and Devenity would stage impromptu plays for their own entertainment, a creative outlet that foreshadowed their future in content creation and performance.

    Career

At just eight years old in 2008, Perkin teamed up with Devenity to launch WzTheBuzz, a Wix-based website where the sisters reviewed local landmarks, restaurants, fashion trends, and even shared recipes, honing their skills in content curation and audience engagement.

This early entrepreneurial spirit carried into 2014 when they transitioned to YouTube with the Perkins Sisters channel, posting vlogs, challenges, skits, and reviews that quickly built a dedicated following.

By 2015, Daniella entered the acting world with her debut in the short film Del Playa, followed by a role in Senior Slasher alongside Devenity.

Her breakthrough came in 2016 with Nickelodeon, where she portrayed the recurring character Sophie in the web series Legendary Dudas and made a guest appearance as Zoe on Girl Meets World.

The year 2018 marked a pivotal moment as she landed the lead role of Ciara in Nickelodeon’s Knight Squad, a fantasy-comedy series that ran for two seasons and showcased her comedic timing and charisma; she even reprised the character in a crossover episode of Henry Danger.

Expanding her voice acting portfolio, Daniella lent her talents to Winnie in the animated mini-series Middle School Moguls in 2018 and hosted Nickelodeon’s Slime Cup that same year.

As social media evolved, the Perkins Sisters exploded on TikTok under @PerkinsSisters, amassing over 2.5 million followers with witty dance videos, lip-syncs, and relatable sibling content, while Daniella’s personal YouTube channel surpassed 800,000 subscribers featuring GRWM routines, quarantine diaries, and lifestyle vlogs.

In 2022, she joined the cast of Freeform’s Grown-ish in a recurring role, transitioning to more mature projects and demonstrating her range.

More recently, under her professional name Daniella Taylor, she starred opposite David Schwimmer and Iddo Goldberg in the short film Traumatica and appeared in the 2023 thriller Red Ruby, signaling her shift toward edgier, adult-oriented roles.

    Accolades

Perkins’ role in Knight Squad earned her widespread praise from critics and fans alike, solidifying her as a Nickelodeon staple and contributing to the series’ success with high viewership ratings during its 2018-2019 run.

The animated series Middle School Moguls, where she voiced Winnie, won a Family Choice Award in 2018.

On the digital front, the Perkins Sisters’ TikTok account has been celebrated for its innovative sibling dynamics, earning shoutouts from platforms and influencers for amassing millions of views and inspiring a wave of family-based creators.
