The body of a woman who had been reported missing was found under a bed in Kariba estate, South B, Nairobi.

She was identified as Ann Wangare. She had been missing from her Embakasi home since December 18, 2025.

Police said she was traced to a house belonging to her former husband on December 21.

Police broke into the house after neighbours said they were disturbed by a smell that emanated from there.

The body was found under a bed with a huge stone placed on her head and lying in a pool of blood.

The said former husband was missing. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

Police said the man is known and told him to surrender for grilling over the murder. The motive of the murder was not immediately known.

And a suspect was arrested over the murder of two people in Kogelo, Siaya County.

Police accused the suspect of killing Eurelia Akinyi and Esther Akoth in a domestic quarrel.

The incident happened on December 20, 2025 while the suspect was arrested two days later, police said.

This followed a tip off from the locals.

Elsewhere in Nkareta area, Narok County, a man who was reported missing was found dead after a suspected murder.

Police said Joel Koitikoi had been reported missing on December 20 prompting a search in the area.

He was later found murdered in Naisoya area in the banks of river Enkare. The body was covered with dry leaves and had injuries on the left eye, chest and cheek.

Police said the body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other procedures.

In Kabodo, Homa Bay County, one Charles Ojwang, 40 was found murdered after a confrontation by a group of people.

Ojwang was attending a meeting of a self-help group when he was attacked on claims he had attacked and injured the children of one of the assailants on December 21, police said.

The assault was said to have happened on December 17 in the area at a night vigil.

The body of the deceased was found with multiple injuries on the head and moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations, police said.

The hunt for the said assailants continued on Tuesday.
