Independent presidential candidate, Abduba Dida on Wednesday rejected an offer from the police to have four GSU officers attached to him.

The former teacher rejected the Inspector General’s offer and insisted on having twenty officers as part of his security detail.

The candidate had initially been offered two officers but offer later revised after endless protests.

Abduba rejected the four officers insisting that he would not take anything less than the twenty officers.

The four officers are said to have gone back to Vigilance house where they reported the matter.

Mr Dida had also requested that the twenty officers be provided with cars for use during this campaign period. The request was also shut down.

The police had earlier rejected Thirdway Alliance Party Presidential candidate, Ekuru Aukot’s request for fifteen security officersto guard his family and running mate.
