Police said one of them identified as Charles Waithaka, 21 drowned as he and his colleague were struggling to locate the body.

The colleague, out of panic, moved out of the water. The police contacted the fire department at the local county who sent divers and managed to retrieve the bodies.

The bodies were later moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
