    rutoOne of Deputy President, William Ruto’s motorcycle escorts has died after being involved in a road accident along Wangari Maathai road, Nairobi.

    Constable Casmel Ndege is said to have lost control of the motorcycle during the Saturday morning incident.

    Ruto eulogized him as a ‘a gallant, hardworking and dedicated professional.’

    The DP was on his way to Githunguri, Kiambu where he is attending a funeral service for MKU Chairman, Simon Gicharu’s mother.

    The escort team is drawn from the elite presidential escort that escorts the DP and President Uhuru Kenyatta when on official duties around the country.
