Evan Bouchard is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Evan has three brothers named Adam, Marc, and Ryan, and three half-sisters named Ashley, Danika, and Sophie.
On Family Day in February 2024, Evan mentioned he enjoyed growing up with his brothers, often playing mini sticks or road hockey, which was always competitive.
Adam and Ryan run a coaching business together in soccer, while Marc is studying in Dublin, Ireland, with plans to become a doctor.
Ashley and Danika are from his father’s first marriage, and Sophie is from his mother’s second marriage.
Career
Bouchard was drafted by the London Knights in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection.
He helped the team win the J. Ross Robertson Cup and the 2016 Memorial Cup during his first year.
In the 2017–18 OHL season, he was named captain of the Knights.
Bouchard was also a finalist for the Max Kaminsky Trophy as defenceman of the year and the Red Tilson Trophy as most valuable player of the OHL.

Despite playing only 45 games in the 2018-19 season, he recorded 16 goals and 53 points and added 21 points in 11 OHL postseason games.
He won the Max Kaminsky Trophy as the league’s top defenceman in 2019.
Bouchard signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Oilers on July 17, 2018. On October 25, he became the youngest Oilers defenceman to score a goal at 19 years old.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he played part of the 2020–21 season with Södertälje SK in Sweden before joining the Oilers.
