Ex-KTN editor Aaron Obudho Ochieng’ has been remanded in custody after he failed to settle a Sh.1 million debt.
Ochieng’ was supposed to pay his former colleague, Joy Doreen Biira the aforementioned amount of money after the duo agreed to settle the stolen Mercedes-Benz case out of court.
Appearing before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi, it was established that the former Standard journalist was yet to pay the amount in full.
The ex-journo had apparently paid Sh.350,000 and was yet to settle the Sh.750,000 balance.
The court then ruled that the Sh.300,000 deposited in court as bail be surrendered to Ms Biira. He will also be released as soon as he pays her the remaining Sh.550,000, the Magistrate ruled.
