Federation of Women Lawyers in Kenya (FIDA) has come to the rescue of Nakuru woman who was sexually assaulted by gospel singers DK kwenye Beat and Hope Kid.
They have offered to offer free legal assistance to the lady stating that they were appalled that there was a section of the society still condoning the actions of the singers who blamed their actions on satan.
“FIDA is reaching out to the young woman to offer legal support. With instructions from her, we will ensure that the perpetrators are arraigned in court. Such heinous crimes do not only warrant an apology but stringent measures. Violence against women MUST stop,” the tweet read in part.
FIDA have reached out to the woman and have also called on the DPP Noordin Haji to take action on the matter.
The assault story was leaked by NRG radio presenter Xtian Dela on Thursday. In explicit messages, the unidentified woman described how she met the two gospel artists sometime in November only for DK Kwenye Beat to force himself on her while she was still having carnal knowledge with Hope Kid.
She would later complain to Hope Kid about the non-consensual threesome and leave for home.
The girl, who is apparently depressed then started talking to the Furi Furi hitmaker only for the two to meet in Nairobi where they had unprotected sex.
She accuses him of cutting communication and infecting her with herpes, HPV among others.
