Police said the incident happened at the Queens Guest House on Thursday morning.

The girl was in the company of her elder sister and was crossing the perimeter wall into the guest house compound when it tumbled on them.

Police said the elder sister was helping the deceased young girl to cross when a section of the wall collapsed on her.

And in Kapsokwony, Bungoma County, a 23-year-old man was electrocuted as he pruned trees at their compound.

This was after a branch of the tree he was pruning fell on live Kenya Power and Lighting cables. Police said Remmy Chemos died after the electrocution.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy. Kenya Power officials visited the scene and helped in processing it.

Such incidents have been common in rural homes where people pruning trees are electrocuted in accidents.
