Fuel prices will remain unchanged in the latest review by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).

In a statement released on Friday, November 14, EPRA said the prices of Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene in Nairobi will stay at Sh184.52, Sh171.47, and Sh154.78 per litre, respectively.

These prices will apply from Saturday, November 15 to Sunday, December 14.

EPRA noted that the prices include all taxes, such as the 16% VAT under the Finance Act 2023, changes from the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024 and updated excise duty rates.

“The prices are inclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024, and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020,” EPRA said.
In Kisumu, the prices will be Sh184.37 for Super Petrol, Sh171.68 for Diesel, and Sh155.03 for Kerosene.

In Nakuru, Super Petrol will cost Sh183.56, Diesel Sh170.87, and Kerosene Sh154.21.
In Eldoret, Super Petrol will retail at Sh184.38, Diesel at Sh171.68, and Kerosene at Sh155.03 per litre.

EPRA also explained that the cost of importing fuel changed slightly last month. The average landed cost of Super Petrol dropped by 0.18%, while Diesel rose by 1.81% and Kerosene by 0.71%.

Despite these small changes, pump prices remain the same. This suggests that other factors — such as exchange rates and buffer margins — were considered in the final pricing.
