
Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has promised to contribute to families that were affected by the chaos after the elections. He has pledged to contribute Ksh.100000 for each family that was affected to cover for funeral expenses to those deceased and other expenses.
The governor said that he would also extend a helping hand to victims outside Nairobi and would not discriminate against tribe, political affiliation or religion.

About 37 people are reported to have lost their lives after the August 8 elections as a reported by the Kenya National Commission For Human Rights (KNCHR) most of who resided in areas purported to be NASA strongholds.
