Kenya’s Harembee Starlets have joined the camp in preparations for the Cecafa Women’s Championship starting on July 19 to 27 in Kigali, Rwanda.

23 of the Kenyan queens reported on Saturday with additional three expected to check in Tuesday.

The 2016 runners-up will face neighbors and rivals Uganda in the tournament’s curtain raiser at Kigali Stadium.

The game will then give way for the official opening match pitting hosts Rwanda against defending champions Tanzania.

“Five countries have confirmed their intention and we will host the tournament in a league format and hosts Rwanda is ready to stage a successful tournament,” Nicholas Musonye, Cecafa Secretary General, said.
