Liverpool goal-machine Sadio Mane arrived in Dakar – Senegal on Tuesday night to a heroes welcome.

The 26-year-old is the captain of the Senagal’s Teranga Lions and will lead them against Madagascar in the Afcon 2019 qualifiers on Saturday.

Known to be humble and down to earth Mane did not feel irritated when his adoring fans mobbed him at Blaise Diagne International Airport in Dakar – Senagal on Tuesday night – taking time to greet and take selfies before being whisked away in a car.

The former Southampton man is a true son of the soil and a cult hero.
