Governor Mike Sonko’s deputy, Polycarp Igathe resigned announced his resignation as the deputy governor on Friday and the internet went into a frenzy.
Igathe, formerly Vivo Energy Managing Director said that he ‘failed to earn the Governor’s trust.’
”Dear Nairobians, it is with a heavy heart that I resign my seat as elected Deputy Governor of Nairobi City County effective 1pm on 31st Jan 2018,” he said on social media.
