Knowing how to change the passcode on iPhone is essential for protecting your personal information and improving your device’s security. Changing your passcode regularly helps prevent unauthorised access to your photos, messages, apps, and financial information. Whether you want a stronger passcode or simply wish to update your existing one, your iPhone allows you to do so quickly through the Settings app.

  1. Open the Settings App

Begin by unlocking your iPhone and opening the Settings app.

Scroll down until you find the security settings for your device.

  1. Open Face ID & Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode

Depending on your iPhone model, tap Face ID & Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode.

Enter your current passcode to access the security settings.

  1. Select Change Passcode

Scroll down and tap Change Passcode.

Your iPhone will ask you to enter your existing passcode once more before allowing you to create a new one.

  1. Create a New Passcode

Enter your new passcode and confirm it by typing it again.

You can also tap Passcode Options if you want to choose a custom alphanumeric code, a custom numeric code, or a four-digit numeric code.

  1. Verify the New Passcode

Once the new passcode has been saved, lock your iPhone and unlock it using the new passcode.

Ensure it works correctly before continuing to use your device normally.
