The three commissioners said that on many occasions the chairman Wafukla Chebukati failed to be steady and stable in his decision making and instead he allowed the commission’s board room to become a ground for brewing mistrust and a space for chasing individual glory and personal credit.

The commissioners also said that the position of the commissioners was often misinformed and that the removal of the CEO Ezra Chiloba prompted their resignation as they believe it was done in a callous manner.

They said that the removal greatly shook the confidence they had left in the chairman and hence their decision to resign with immediate effect.
