    IEBC To Face More Legal Troubles Within Seven Days

    IEBC Chairman, Wafula Chebukati

    A citizen by the name Koitamet Ole Kina has written to the chairman of the IEBC  Wafula Chebukati giving him seven days to allow access to the IEBC servers or else he will institute  legal proceedings to force the commission to do so and avail the information to him.

    Mr Ole Kina cited article 35 of the constitution which basically focuses on every citizens right to access to information by the state.He wants to be given access to the biometric voter register,KIEMs kit allocation for the August polls,GPRS details,administrative logs,user access logs for the result transmission systems.

    Mr Ole Kina further cites article 38 of the constitution where he states that every voter has right to vote and that the IEBC has a mandate to ensure that the the process is simple,accurate,verifiable,secure,accountable and transparent.
