An inferno has left hundreds homeless in Nairobi’s Mathare area.
The Saturday afternoon fire broke out Juja Road near the Oil Libya petrol station.
Residents tried putting out the quickly spreading fire before two Nairobi County fire engines arrived.
Fire fighters had a hard time accessing the area due to narrow access roads.
Reports indicate that an adjacent building has caught fire.
No fatalities have been reported.
