Isabella Camille Briones, known professionally as Isa Briones, is an English-born American actress and singer born on January 17, 1999, in London, England.
She is the daughter of Filipino-American actor and singer Jon Jon Briones and American actress and singer Megan Johnson Briones, both renowned for their work in musical theater, particularly in productions like Miss Saigon.
Of Swedish, Irish, and Filipino descent, Briones grew up immersed in the performing arts world.
Her family relocated from London to New York City when she was just ten months old, where she began her early career as a child model at the age of three.
By seven years old, the family had moved to Los Angeles, setting the stage for her transition into acting.
Siblings
Isa has one sibling, her younger brother Teo Briones, born Mateo Justis Briones in Oxford, England.
Like Isa, Teo was born while their parents were on tour for theatrical productions, highlighting the nomadic, performance-driven lifestyle of their family.
Teo, who is also an actor and singer, began his career in modeling and acting at age five after the family’s move to Los Angeles.
He has carved out a niche in the horror genre, with notable roles including appearances in Chucky, Ratched, and the upcoming Final Destination: Bloodlines, where he plays the character Charlie.
Career
Briones entered the acting world in 2008, shortly after her family’s relocation to Los Angeles, with early roles in feature films and stage productions.
Her breakthrough in musical theater came with her portrayal of Perón’s mistress in Evita and Natalie in Next to Normal, roles that showcased her vocal prowess and emotional range.

In 2018, she joined the first national touring company of Hamilton as the youngest actor to take on the dual leads of Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds, touring for a full year and solidifying her status as a rising star on the stage.
Transitioning to screen work, Briones gained widespread recognition for her starring role in Star Trek: Picard (2020–2022), where she portrayed the synthetic twins Dahj and Soji Asha, the “daughters” of the iconic android Data—ironically, her father Jon Jon Briones guest-starred in the series as well.
Her performance culminated in a poignant rendition of Irving Berlin’s “Blue Skies” for the season one finale, released as a single that highlighted her singing abilities.
Briones continued her diverse portfolio with a lead role as Margot Stokes in the Disney+ horror series Goosebumps (2023), adapting R.L. Stine’s beloved books for a modern audience.
More recently, she made her Broadway debut in 2024 as Eurydice in Hadestown, sharing the stage with her father as Hermes, and appeared as Dr. Santos in the HBO Max medical drama The Pitt.
In 2025, she joined the off-Broadway production All Nighter alongside AnnaSophia Robb, further demonstrating her versatility across genres and mediums.
Accolades
In 2018, Brione received three nominations for the LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards in the category of Featured Actress in a Musical—for her roles in Evita and two separate productions of Next to Normal—ultimately winning the prestigious award for her performance as Natalie in Next to Normal at East West Players.
Her tenure in Hamilton’s touring production also earned her acclaim as the youngest lead in the show’s history, boosting her profile nationally.
Briones’s contributions to increasing visibility for Asian Pacific American artists, inspired by her family’s legacy, align with broader industry honors, such as the Visionary Award her father received from East West Players in 2019.
