    Jack Ranguma Loses Bid To Oust Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o

    The high court in Kisumu has dismissed the petition challenging the election of Professor Anyang Nyong’o as Kisumu Governor.

    The court said that the former governor Jack Ranguma who was the petitioner failed to provide sufficient evidence to win the bid against Anyang Nyong’o. The former governor was also slapped with the costs for the petition. The court said that he should pay Sh. 5 million as costs.

    In His petition Jack Ranguma had submitted that the election was marred with malpractices and that the electoral body did not conduct the elections in a proper way.

    He also said that professor Anyang Nyong’o was among the leaders who were computer generated leaders.

    “There is one kifaranga cha computer here in Kisumu that I know of but with evidence we have filed and prayers of the people of Kisumu we are going to ensure the declaration is overturned,” He had indicated to the Nation Newspaper.
