Investigations into the brutal murder of 28 year old Interior Designer Monica Kimani on Thursday intensified after police dusted Citizen TV reporter Jacque Maribe’s car.
Ms Maribe’s car (REG NO. KCA 031E) was impounded at Kilimani Police Station as police seek to find out who really killed Ms Nyawira in cold blood.
Her fiance Joe Irungu alias Jowie is said to have been using Jacque’s car on the night he is believed to have taken Ms Kimani’s life at her A8 Luciane Apartment on 20 September.
He told the police that he picked up his fiancee from a club in Kilimani to their home in Lang’ata at around 1.30 pm when he noticed three men who shot him on the shoulder.
His lawyers on Wednesday asked the court to allow him get medical attention as he risks getting his hand amputated. But the police say that his supposed gunshot wound may have been occasioned by a struggle with the dead woman.
The police were on Wednesday looking for the journo after her phone went unanswered and was not at home.
They needed her to corroborate her boyfriend’s story.
