    He spent part of his youth at the Swiss boarding school Institut Le Rosey, where he met future bandmate Albert Hammond Jr.. Later, in New York, he formed connections with other future members of The Strokes, including Nick Valensi and Fabrizio Moretti.

    Personal Life

    Casablancas married Juliet Joslin, a former manager of The Strokes, in 2015. The couple has two children but later divorced in 2019.

    He has spoken openly about overcoming substance use challenges and has been sober since 2009, a turning point that influenced both his personal life and career.
