Kacper Potulski is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Bundesliga club 1. FSV Mainz 05 and the Poland national team.
Born on 19 October 2007 in Gdańsk, Poland, he stands 1.95 metres tall.
He developed through the youth ranks of Lechia Gdańsk and Legia Warsaw before moving to Mainz as a teenager and rapidly progressing into the senior squad.
His combination of physical presence, speed, composure, and maturity beyond his years has drawn significant attention in both Poland and Germany.

Career
Potulski began his football journey in the academy of Lechia Gdańsk, joining at a young age and remaining there until 2021.
He then moved to the youth setup of Legia Warsaw, where he featured for various age-group teams, including appearances in the Polish U-19 league while still only 15.
In 2023, at the age of 15, he joined the youth ranks of Mainz 05 in Germany.
He progressed through the club’s junior sides and began featuring for the reserve team in the Regionalliga.

He made his senior debut for Mainz in the UEFA Conference League in October 2025 against Omonia Nicosia, performing strongly in subsequent European matches as the team advanced.
Later that year he debuted in the Bundesliga, becoming the youngest player in Mainz history to start a league match.
He scored his first professional goal in a 2–2 draw against Bayern Munich. By mid-2026 he had accumulated multiple Bundesliga appearances and Conference League outings.
Internationally, he represented Poland at various youth levels, including U15, U16, U17 (participating in the 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship), U19/U20, and U21.
In May 2026 he received his first senior call-up and debuted as a substitute against Ukraine. Three days later he scored his first senior international goal in a 2–2 draw with Nigeria.

Potulski has earned recognition for several age-related milestones and performances. He became the youngest player in Mainz 05 history to start a Bundesliga match.
His goal against Bayern Munich at 18 years and 56 days made him one of the youngest scorers against the club in Bundesliga history and the second-youngest Mainz player to score in the competition.
He is also noted as one of the youngest Poles to debut and score in the Bundesliga, surpassing previous records held by players such as Marek Saganowski for the earliest Polish debut.
