Former Citizen TV Swahili anchor Kanze Dena was on Friday confirmed to the position of State House Spokesperson and Head of the President’s Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ms Dena has been acting in the same position for the past three months after Manoah Esipisu was appointed Kenya’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
“We wish Ms. Dena success in her new role and ask all stakeholders including PSCU staff, the media and colleagues in Government to accord her the support she needs to excel,” Chief Of Staff, Office of The President Nzioka Waita said.

In July, the former journo was appointed the Deputy State House spokesperson. Her appointment, Mr Nzikoa noted was part of the efforts to strengthen quality and reach of communication from the presidency.
“She will focus on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s brand positioning, media relations and messaging with respect to the delivery the Big Four agenda,” he said.
