    KDF Officer Shoots Dead 3 Relatives, Commits Suicide

    A Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) officer allegedly shot dead three of his relatives at Jua Kali in Eldoret.

    According to reports, the soldier drove himself to the homestead where his kin were at around 5:30 am on Tuesday.

    Upon his arrival, the KDF officer opened fire at the home killing his aunt and his two uncles.

    He then turned the gun to himself and committed suicide.

    Confirming the incident, Eldoret West police officer have launched further investigations into the incident.

    Speaking to KTN News, the son of the woman who was murdered revealed that the KDF soldier did not explain why he killed his relatives, he just came and opened fire at the homestead.

    According to the police, the officer’s actions were premeditated.

    This incident is among the numerous crime cases that have marred the news in the recent past.

    Eldoret was recently in the limelight following the murder of Moi University medical student Ivy Wangeci.

    She was hacked to death by an alleged lover, Naftali Kinuthia.

    Kinuthia is currently in police custody pending the hearing of the case.
