    5 KDF Soldiers Killed In Lamu After Vehicle Runs Over An IED

    Five Kenya Defence Force (KDF) soldiers have been killed in Bodhei area of Boni Forest, Lamu County after a vehicle they were travelling in hit an IED.

    Witnesses say that the vehicle was extensively damaged in what is assumed to be an attack by Al Shabaab Militants. The Militants have not claimed responsibility for the attack but the attack is similar to many of the previous attacks that have been on going within the Boni forest.

    Six more soldiers were injured during the attack.

    Boni forests has been known to be a hideout for Alshabaab Militants withe KDF being posted there to improve security .
