Transport CS James Macharia has directed Kenya Railways to increase the number of commuter trains within Nairobi to ease the transport services following the nationwide strike by Public Service Vehicles.
He has also asked that the Kenya Railways reduce the price by 10% to accommodate commuters who were paying high transport costs as a result.
The strike is as a result of police crackdown on PSV vehicles to comply to the famous Michuki rules.

Commuters were this morning forced to scramble for few Matatus or walk to their destinations following the strike.
The government has assured Kenyans that they will tighten the belt on the same stating that rogue matatus were the reasons behind the many accidents that were witnessed this year.
