There are millions of websites and blogs across Africa. This content transforms the web for the benefit of users. Google AdSense helps content publishers grow their online business by helping them with monetization. AdSense is a programme that enables publishers to display relevant ads on their websites and earn revenue. It’s free to use, quick to set up and now even easier to get paid.

Google say they are excited to announce the launch of Western Union Quick Cash® payments for Google AdSense in three countries in Africa! If you’re a Google AdSense publisher, you can now select Western Union Quick Cash payments in:

    • Ghana
    • Kenya
    • Uganda

Western Union Quick Cash payments will reach you faster than checks, and they’re free of charge. Payments will continue to follow Google’s normal payment schedule and will be available for pickup in your local currency at your local Western Union agent the day after they’re issued.

A couple of things to note: Google can send Western Union payments only to publishers that have an individual account at this time. Also, the payee name on your account must exactly match the government-issued ID card that you’ll use when picking up your payments. For more information on how to pick up Western Union payments, please visit our Help Center. To sign up for AdSense, visit google.com/adsense

This is such a great news for Africa and this will make me personally thank Joe Mucheru and the other members of Google Africa team.
