The County Government of Kilifi (CGK) has announced three vacant positions on the Board of Kilifi-Mariakani Water & Sewerage Company (KIMAWASCO-WSP).
Through a public notice on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the county said the board’s composition requires a mix of skills from the business and professional community, local organizations, women’s groups, schools, farmers, youth groups, and other local stakeholders. The selection process will follow constitutional requirements for gender and regional balance.
Eligible applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, be in good standing with their professional body, have at least seven years of experience in a business, profession, or trade, and have participated in local development initiatives. Applicants must not be suppliers or trading partners of the company, must reside in the area served by KIMAWASCO, have a recommendation from the body they wish to represent, and meet the leadership and integrity requirements under Chapter Six of the Constitution.
The three board positions open are one member representing the farming community, one representing local professionals, and one representing the Water Users Association or Resident Association.
“Applications are invited from qualified individuals wishing to be considered to serve as member of the Board of Directors of Kilifi-Mariakani Water & Sewerage Co. Ltd [KIMAWASCO] – WSP,” the notice reads.
Interested persons should submit their applications and CVs indicating the stakeholder group they represent. Applications must be sent in a plain, sealed envelope marked Application for Directorship and delivered or posted to: The Chairperson, Selection Panel, c/o Managing Director, Kilifi-Mariakani Water & Sewerage Co. Ltd, P.O. Box 275-80108, Kilifi.
The deadline for submission is December 2, 2025.
