A rather disturbing video of a school bus has generated a heated debate online.

The school bus belonging to Kiriath-Jiam School in Utawala was filmed by a motorist showed pupils hanging dangerously from its windows.

The pupils blow whistles, cheer as they celebrate the KCPE results released on Monday by Education CS Amina Mohammed.

As the motorist speeds past the bus, the school children can be seen thrusting their legs out the windows.

This comes at a time when the government has re-introduced the strict Michuki Rules in a bid to restore sanity on the road.

CS Fred Matiang’i in January ordered that all school buses be painted yellow, in compliance with the Traffic Amendment Act 2017.

This was to increase visibility. Buses were also required to be installed with safety belts.

Here are reactions from social media users:

but it is safe, you dont see its been painted Yellow

What gross indiscipline!!!courting death in the name of celebrating kcpe results. That driver too,is indisciplined, why continue driving with people hanging out of the windows?

So they are supposedly "celebrating" their good performance. It's clear that you can have 499 marks from these ABCD exams but that does not mean you are educated. Anybody with a little education cannot resort to such behaviour.
