A couple is seeking justice for their 11 month old daughter after their house-help assaulted her on separate occasions.

The infant, Elsie Owiti has been in the care of her nanny who has been identified as Maureen Nyamoita for the past six months.

According to her father, Naftal Owiti, the child has been having suspicious injuries for the past couple of months. It started with blood shot eyes, then a swollen eye and later a cut on her head.

Mr Owiti, a teacher in Kisii County, while speaking to Kahawa Tungu said that they trusted Ms Nyamoita with their child because she was elderly and a staunch christian.

But when baby Elsie started vomiting blood in the middle of the night, he and his wife decided to install a CCTV camera in the house. This was on Monday, July 29.

In a two minute video that he has since uploaded on YouTube, the 47 year old nanny is seen throwing the baby on the floor after she spilled food on her clothes.

Ms Nyamoita then pokes baby Elsie on the face forcing her onto the floor. Barking orders at an infant, the “maid from hell” then picks her up placing her on the seat.

She later walks away and then returns with a sandal threatening to hit the crying baby.

    Baby Elsie then stops crying.

Mr Owiti intimated to Kahawa Tungu that the child has since been taken to the hospital and is doing well.

The maid, on the other hand, was handed over to the police and is locked up at Ogembo Police Station. She has since confessed to assaulting the child but in her defense, she was possessed by evil demons.

Police are still probing the case and are in possession of the CCTV footage.
