A man clobbered to death his wife over claims he had seen him talk to a man at a local shopping centre in Nyamache, Kisii County.
The woman, aged about 30, was found dead on her bed after the overnight beating on October 2, police said.
The assailant and the woman had left a local shopping centre for home, where the beating happened.
The woman slept in pain, and when the man woke up in the morning, he found her unresponsive.
Police were called to the scene and detained the man before moving the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.
Elsewhere in Gongoni, Kilifi County, a decomposed body of a woman who was missing was found in the Kisimani area.
The woman was reported missing on September 22, 2025. She is believed to have been murdered and her body abandoned in a ditch where it was discovered on October 2, 2025, police said. The motive of the murder of the woman identified as Kasichana Kahindi Ngoka, 75 was not immediately established.
The body was moved to a local mortuary pending an autopsy.
And three men were arrested in an investigation into a murder incident that happened in Mama Ngina Water Front area, Mombasa.
The suspects were linked to the murder that happened on October 2, 2025, police said adding they will be presented in court to face murder charges.
The deceased identified as only Njoroge had a piece of polythene paper wrapped around his head and the limbs had been tied when the body was found naked at the shores of Mama Ngina Water Front.
The motive of the murder is yet to be known, police said on Friday October 3, 2025.
