Kisumu county has began development and improving of the Arts and film Industry with the Launch of Film ‘Angels Of Nyalenda.’
The film tells the story of the daily struggles of low income communities and is based in Nyalenda slum in Kisumu county.

The launch was graced by the county’s governor Prof Anyang Nyong’o and senator Fred Outa. The governor felt elated that the launch was happening in Kisumu and vowed to implement his agenda to elevate Arts and culture and make the county an entertainment hub.
The film sponsor and executive director of Ignite,Raphael Mahulo applauded the county for finally getting on the right track towards recognizing art within the Kisumu and urged the stake holders to expand the space for the growth of film in the Industry.
The film production team and cast were harnessed from the county in a bid to encourage their growth.
