The Board of Kenya Tea Development Agency Holdings Ltd (KTDA) has appointed Francis Miano as the Acting Group Chief Executive Officer.

In a statement, KTDA Board Chair Chege Kirundi said Miano’s appointment took effect on Friday, January 16, 2026.

Miano is a registered professional engineer and a corporate member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya. He brings more than 30 years of experience to the new role and is currently in charge of the Group Technical Services Division at KTDA.

The board said his long service and deep understanding of the organisation will help ensure smooth leadership during the transition period.

His appointment follows the exit of Wilson Muthaura, who has proceeded on terminal leave.

“The Board expresses its sincere appreciation to Mr. Muthaura for his dedicated service to the organisation and wishes him well in his future endeavours,” the statement said.
